June 28th 2008 Chad Michael Murray

Most Recent Role: Lucas Eugene Scott on One Tree Hill
Alias Name(s): Chad Murray, CMM
Gender: Male
Birthplace:
Buffalo, New York
Birthday:
8-24-1981
Birth Name: Chad Michael Murray

Born in Buffalo, New York, Chad found a ready audience for his talents early on. When he was just four or five years old, the young ham performed skits and sang made-up songs for his large family which includes three brothers, a half-brother and a sister. At age fifteen, a high school football injury landed him in a hospital where a nurse encouraged him to pursue a modeling career.

Two years later, Chad won a scholarship from a modeling agency in Buffalo to attend a modeling convention in Orlando. There he met his destiny when an agent from Los Angeles spotted him and persuaded the seventeen-year-old to pursue his dream of acting after graduation from high school.

In 1999, the aspiring actor headed for Hollywood where he supported himself modeling for such clients as Skechers, Tommy Hilfiger, and Gucci while looking for a break. Soon after he arrived, Chad appeared in several guest-starring television roles including an episode of “Diagnosis Murder” (1993). Then he got the call he’d been hoping for. The WB’s “Gilmore Girls” (2000) was casting for the role of Tristan DuGrey. They were looking for someone who was likable and charismatic but with an edgy side, and someone who had that certain “IT” quality. Chad was all that plus he had the perfect physical characteristics that the show’s writers had in mind. The teenager won the role and has since made the character his own.

He admires the talents of actors Edward Norton, Leonardo DiCaprio, Al Pacino Robert De Niro and Sean Penn and uses their influences in his work. Always a firm believer in clean living, Chad is a natural athlete. He played his favorite sport, football, in high school and keeps fit by working out at the gym, in-line skating, playing soccer, volleyball and basketball as well as football pick-up games. He is an anti-drug role model for kids and is active in charities for children and teens during his spare time. Before he married Sophia Bush on April 16th, 2005, Chad had set up house with a pug named Gus and a unique boisterous cat named Jack, who keep him from missing his large family too much.

Most recently, Chad and Sophia called it quits after just five months, after he confessed that he’d cheated on her.

Chad has starred and co-starred in many movies and shows. He has been voted as one of the Top Ten Hottest Male Star on VH1.

June 24th 2008 Review: Life is short

Life is short, another well rated One Tree Hill episode, on which Peyton and Brooke are dealing with the realities of motherhood or you can say parenthood. It’s because baby Angie cries her little heart out all night long. Both are trying to divert the baby with toys but nothing seems to help them to stop the little monster from creaking. At that moment, I really felt it’s a curse to have babies (Okay, not for you, for me only, being very honest with you). According to Peyton, baby’s heart condition may be the reason of her fussiness whereas Brooke discovers that the kid doesn’t like her.

Today’s also the b’day of Jamie Scott and he wants Grandpa Dan to come to his birthday party. Dan goes to visit Nathan at the basketball court where Nathan throws his arms around him. Brooke compares herself to Angelina Jolie and Peyton is recruited by Skill to find out Wii. Skills complains to Peyton he feels like Nathan and Haley don’t want him around since Jamie was kidnapped. He decides to buy a costly gift while hoping that he will be forgiven by the Scott family. Aw! The creepy clown, Bucko, was a good idea. Thanks to the producers fro that. Lindsey returns to One Tree Hill for Jamie’s birthday. Dan drops a gift for Jamie and leaves after his confrontation with Bucko. Get ready as Jamie is going to open his presents. Lucas gifts him a book and Skills hands over Wii. Dan has given a basketball jersey with Nathan’s old no. on it. After the party, Haley arrests Deb making out with Bucko. Her sexual obsession with clowns in this episode really creep me out. It seems tough for the characters to find out the solutions of their problems. Poor Brooke is still struggling with Angie’s cries and Peyton is pining over Lucas for the 800th time this season. Well, on the final scene of the episode, Dan gives his will to Nathan and tells him that he needs a heart transplant.

Entirely, Life is short was an enjoyable episode and was liked by everyone as I know. Some memorable quotes form the episode:

Brooke: She adores you, Luke.
Lucas: Well, maybe she can put in a good word for me with Lindsey.

Dan: Son, I have a bad heart.
Nathan: You’re just realizing that, Dad?

Haley: Peyton are you really in love with Lucas or are you just in love with the
idea of Lucas?
Peyton: If I’m being honest, maybe a little bit of both. I think I miss what I thought we would be.

June 20th 2008 Memorable Quotes

eith Scott: Karen. Ready to go?
Karen Roe: Oh, I’m not going. I decided to stay open. I could use the business.
Keith Scott: You talk to Luke about this?
Karen Roe: No, he will understand.
Keith Scott: Karen…
Haley James: She doesn’t want to go. She doesn’t want to see her high school sweetheart slash your brother Dan slash the jerk who abandoned Lucas slash the father of Nathan, the team’s star player slash my wrists if I hear this story again. Let’s go.
Keith Scott: I think you’re making a mistake.

Nathan Scott: When I fell to the floor tonight, I was so scared, I was so terrified. Then I saw you, and I promised myself that if I could just get up, I’d walk over to you… I’d tell you how much I need you and how much I want you… and how nothing else matters.

Haley James: [after Chris auditions to play at tric] Wow, you’re really good!
Chris Keller: Yeah, I know.

Haley James: [Haley and Lucas come into the hotel room while Chris is annoying Brooke] Hey guys… what’s goin’ on?
Chris Keller: She was just hittin’ on me…
[Brooke rolls her eyes]

Nathan Scott: Hey, where you goin’?
Chris Keller: Chris Keller’s work here is done.

Mouth: I’m really messed up on the hooch, you know.

Haley James: The magazine pages are sticky again, little perv. Hey, Lucas! Have you been reading this?
Lucas ‘Luke’ Scott: I don’t know, Haley. Is that the “Why do I hang out with these people?” issue, because your on the cover of that, right?
Haley James: Actually it’s the “My best friend is an idiot” issue, and there you are.

Peyton: I heard you were naked in his car.
Brooke: No, I was partially naked. At one point I had mittens on cause it was cold.

Brooke: Easy on the skanky innuendo!

Dan Scott: You should take a job application… now that you’re unemployed.

Lucas: [to Peyton] Hey. So I saw Nathan in the shower… yeah, no wonder you broke up with him.

Lucas ‘Luke’ Scott: I look like an idiot.
Haley James: Dude, I saw you in your headgear.
Lucas ‘Luke’ Scott: Don’t call me dude. And I thought we promised not to talk about that in public?

June 16th 2008 Five Reasons We Love One Tree Hill

Named after a U2 song and just as rockin’, One Tree Hill has defied the critics, survived the UPN-WB merger and — with a post-high-school jump four years into the future this season — redefined its teen-soap image. Now, as the gang heads out of their fifth season (tonight at 9 pm/ET, the CW) amid a storm of adult angst ranging from Brooke’s adoption heartbreak to Haley’s music-career breakthrough, it’s clear that OTH is one hot spot still worth visiting. Here’s why.

1. It’s the little show thatcould.
OTH has always been under the ratings radar. But thanks to its Web-savvy fans, including the 300,000-plus members of Facebook’s “Addicted to One Tree Hill site, the show makes up for its lack of Nielsen numbers with an online visibility other nets would give their repo’d bionic women for. “Viewers save [this] show…all the critics in the world can’t save a show that nobody is watching,” exec producer Mark Schwahn says.

2.It’s softer than your average soap.
Sudsy without being splashy, and unabashedly emotional (nobody cries better than Hilarie Burton), OTH’s distinctive pace moseys along, unlike that of The O.C. “What’s funny is networks never want [you] to slow down,” Schwahn says. “It’s not a sexy concept.” Maybe not, but knowing — and respecting — your audience is.

3. The kids are all right…as grown-ups.
“Being twentysomething is a great, messy time in life,” says Schwahn of fast-forwarding past the gang’s college years. Not only did this spare us the 90210-ish forced inanity of the gang attending the same school, but it also put the cast closer to their own ages, turning OTH into “more of a universal show, rather than a teen drama.”

4. History actually matters.
The time warp also gave diehards a payoff by fulfilling the characters’ teen dreams. Emo babe Peyton (Burton) now runs an indie label, “Tutor Girl” Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) is Tree Hill High’s hottest teacher, and fashionista Brooke (Sophia Bush) has her Clothes Over Bros line. “If you change [too much], you might as well create a new show,” explains Schwahn. Plus, if Lucas didn’t publish after all of Chad Michael Murray’s lit-inspired voice-overs, Burton wouldn’t have been the only one crying.

5. Love is always in the air.
Whether you’re Team Nathan/Haley (James Lafferty, Galeotti) or just falling for misfits Mouth and Millicent (Lee Norris, Lisa Goldstein), OTH is all about couples you can adore. Even potentially doomed ones. “Lucas and Peyton have a very classic, romantic architecture,” Schwahn says. “That doesn’t mean it will work out.” What it does mean is we can expect their on-again, off-again romance to go on (and off) well into next season.
