Season 2

With the beginning of the second season, Dan has a heart attack and Lucas and Keith return to Tree Hill. When Dan learns that Lucas has contracted Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy which caused Dan’s own heart attack he pays for Lucas’s medication and also tries to keep his condition a secret. Nathan and Haley receive a visit from Haley’s sister. Nathan tries to kill himself by crashing a race car. Jake and Payton have once again feelings of love. Nicki kidnaps Jenny and disappears with her which forced Jake to leave Peyton. Lucas ends his romance with Anna and tells Brooke what he feels about her but she leaves him without telling what she herself feels. Ellie tells Peyton that she is her mother. Dan finds that he has been poisoned and suddenly falls unconscious. Nathan gets a surprise when he arrives home to find Haley on his doorstep. As the season ends, Karen and Andy (her new love) decides to move Australia. The last appearance of the season was an unidentified spoiler who enters the scene to threaten everyone’s coming happiness.
