Next week on “One Tree Hill“, Nathan tries to help Haley and Jamie confront Lydia’s (guest star Bess Armstrong) seemingly hopeless situation. Brooke and Julian navigate their volatile relationship in the midst of a hectic movie shoot.
Meanwhile, Clay and Quinn spend some time apart, and Miranda (guest star India de Beaufort) tries to prove to Grubbs (guest star Michael Grubbs of the band Wakey!Wakey!) that she’s the right person to produce his album.
“At the Bottom of Everything” will air on Monday, February 15. Bethany Joy Galeotti who plays Haley directs the episode and this is the second time around she has taken the job behind the lens. Back in season 6, she directed the episode “Screenwriter’s Blues”. Her co-stars Sophia Bush and James Lafferty have also experienced directing the show’s episodes.
Just like Heroes, the dead never really stays dead on One Tree Hill. The only difference is that on Tree Hill, dead people come back in flashbacks or possibly as ghosts. OK so maybe not as ghosts but someone dead does return this season and, according to Fancast.com, the
cast and crew’s lips are zipped as to how this person will resurface.
I am of course referring to Clay’s dead wife Sara, who is portrayed by Amanda Schull, the actress best known for her role in the movie Center Stage. Last time we saw Sara was in the episode “I Just Died in Your Arms Tonight” in which Clay struggled to deal with his mourning issues.
If you’ve been following One Tree Hill season 7, then you’re well aware that Clay has since found love again in Quinn, Haley’s sister, after being depressed for a long time. How will Sara’s return affect Clay and Quinn’s budding romance? Will Sara haunt Clay as a ghost or will she be featured in a flashback scene? And more importantly, why is she returning on the show?
“One Tree Hill” ends its 2009 run and will return on January 18 for the second half of season 7. The official synopsis for episode “Weeks Go By Like Days” is not yet released but from the look of the preview, there will be a bunch of new and old faces that would stir things up between the residents.
In Brooke and Julian’s case, there will be a man who is so “smart, funny and attractive” that he will shake the couple’s relationship a little bit. Named Alexander, the character is a former pro surfer who switches lane to become a young mogul. Australian actor Mitch Ryan gets his big break to play the role.
Meanwhile, a familiar face is coming back to Tree Hill. Taylor, one of Haley’s many sisters bumps into Nathan in a club. She has a history of being seductive to Nathan and it was found out that Nathan lost his virginity to her.
In a future episode, the show is also welcoming a guest starring appearance from rock band Cheap Trick. The band will perform during an ’80s-themed benefit to raise money for Tree Hill High arts programs.
